Władysław Janyst ps. „Jodła”
Żołnierz oddziału organizacji „Polski Związek Walki o Wolność Narodów” z Kielc, która w maju 1943 r. weszła w skład Armii Krajowej. Brat Józefa, założyciela oddziału. Miał pseudonim „Jagiellończyk”. Latem 1943 r. został rozpoznany na ulicy i postrzelony przez agenta Muszyńskiego. Rannego zabrano do więzienia w Kielcach. Zmarł w więzieniu zakatowany w czasie śledztwa.
Władysław Janyst upamiętniony jest na Murze Pamięci OMPiO.

Władysław Janyst, pseudonym “Jodła”, was a soldier in the unit of the „Polish Union for the Struggle for National Freedom” (Polski Związek Walki o Wolność Narodów) from Kielce, an organization that integrated into the Home Army (AK) in May 1943. He was the brother of Józef, the founder of the unit. He also used the pseudonym “Jagiellończyk”. In the summer of 1943, he was recognized on the street and shot by a Gestapo agent named Muszyński. While wounded, he was taken to the Kielce prison. He passed away in prison after being tortured to death during the investigation.
Władysław Janyst is commemorated on the Memorial Wall of the OMPiO (Patriotic and Civic Education Centre).
