Stanisław Kiełbasa ps. „Strzecha” (1903-1945)
Urodził się 4 lipca 1903 roku we wsi Gaworzyna gmina Iłża. W czasie wojny był żołnierzem Armii Krajowej. Został aresztowany 8 maja 1945 roku przez funkcjonariuszy Urzędu Bezpieczeństwa w czasie akcji poszukiwaniu szwagra – Antoniego Hedy „Szarego”. Przewieziony do Kielc w więzieniu na Zamkowej przeszedł okrutne tortury i w ciągu kilku tygodni został zamordowany. Osierocił trójkę małych dzieci.
Stanisław Kiełbasa upamiętniony jest na Murze Pamięci OMPiO.

Stanisław Kiełbasa, pseudonym “Strzecha”, was born on July 4, 1903, in the village of Gaworzyna, Iłża commune. During the war, he was a soldier in the Home Army (AK). He was arrested on May 8, 1945, by officers of the Security Office (UB) during a manhunt operation targeting his brother-in-law, Antoni Heda “Szary”. Transported to Kielce, he was subjected to brutal torture in the prison on Zamkowa Street and was murdered within a few weeks. He left behind three young children.
Stanisław Kiełbasa is commemorated on the Memorial Wall of the OMPiO (Patriotic and Civic Education Centre).
